-
- : icard.device isn't perfect, but I've never heard of problems like you
- : describe; except where the hardware itself is broken, or the using
- : software is broken.
-
- Any new version of the driver ??
-
- : There are many many people using the I-Card with no problems. My _initial_
- : reaction is that you have:
-
- : 1) A problem with your "BlizzCard" (do your problems still happen when
- : the accelerator isn't present?), or
-
- This all happen on :
-
- Stock A1200 with no expansions at all.
- A1200 + Blizzard III 50Mhz 030+882 and 4MB Fast
- A1200 + Blizzard III 50Mhz 030+882 and 16MB Fast
- A1200 + some GVP1230 card 030+882 and 4MB Fast
- and three different I-Cards,
- we all have one card each, except from the GVP guy :)
-
- : 2) A faulty PCMCIA slot (loose wires, bent wires, not a solid connection)?
-
- Not the case, unless some gremlin has been jerking around on all our 4 amigas.
-
- : > 2.) the A1200 PCMCIA isnt quite up to the PCMCIA-II standard as it claimes,

-
- : ????
-
- : This shouldn't happen, but I can't say that I do this.
-
- Well.. it does, and is most annoying. This is pure _hardware_.
-
- : > Having said all this I also must say that when the card actually work,
- : > it really is a pleasure to work with, transfers at 150k/sec and more

-
- : Well, at least there is something good to say here! ;)
-
- Well.. as soon as I get a sanaII expansion, and it if works, get GoldenGate
- and a PC-ethernet card, and it works, I _know_ what to sell next :)
-
- : > Any tip out there on what to do with my probs ??
-
- : Other than checking on the things above, I have no idea.
-
- : Realistically, we verify icard.device with I-Net 225 on every release,
- : and I-Net 225 adheres to SANA-II v2 and supports SANA-II v1.5; we also
- : test with on ENLAN and Envoy.
-
- Under what conditions do you test it. Try test under very heavy net-traffic.
- If I use it in a network of 5-10 machines, or at night when
- nothing is happening, it works rather OK, but as soon as the morning rises
- and the traffic-loads are rising it just screwes up.
- Besides I use AmiTCP, what version didnt matter, all from 2.x to 4.x all the
- same. But... I've not tested it with I-Net 225, would like to do so, but I'm
- not sure wether to buy it as I dont know if it'll be any better.
- (Is there a trial version somewhere ?)
-
- : We don't see the problems you are describing, which leads me in the
- : direction of a hardware problem on your end.
-
- In that case who's to blame ?
- This all has been hapening from day 1 since we got our cards.
- Tried to contact Interworks, but no words from them whatsoever :(
-
- No problems with the amigas in other ways, I had my amy up hole 5 days
- home at X-Mas, just too see (then my littlebrother booted to play worms :) )
-
- The slip link I had before was up week after week after week ..
